Marjorie Greene: You’re a Disgrace

When you make a mistake, you don’t blame others for it; instead, you put the blame squarely on your own shoulders and you apologize.

But Marjorie Greene Taylor didn’t do that today, February 4, 2021, on the House floor. Instead, she was too feckless and pointed the finger at the media for taking her words out of context.

Sorry, Miss Marjorie. That’s not what happened at all. Do you really think you can just get away with writing off your bigotry and hate speech and lies and propaganda on the media?

To do so would be telling a lie larger than the moon.

Before our very eyes, I remember the day you harassed American activist David Hoag right there on Capitol Hill. I remember too well when you refused to acknowledge the grim reality that the Parkland and Sandy Hook school shootings had really unfolded. I remember when you name-called Jewish park rangers for starting forest fires in California. I remember when you said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, First Lady Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama deserve to be killed. I remember when you said 911 didn’t really happen. I remember when you said no plane ever flew into the Pentagon. I remember when you held up a “Stop the Steal” sign, knowing full well the presidential election was won fair and square by President Joseph Biden. I remember the day you spewed your Islamophobic speech by insisting that Muslim leaders Rep. Ilhan Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib swear on the Christian bible, because the Quran’s not good enough in your eyes.

All of your pathetic words and actions have been captured from Day One, not only because we’ve got the paper trails to prove it, but also because we have stored your live streams and posts from the outset, even though you tried to remove the footage.

But again, you’re not brave enough to admit your wrongdoing. You’re a pathetic coward.

You had the unmitigated gall to wear a face mask with “Free Speech” printed on it today, even though you know your inflammatory rhetoric is soaked in hate and hatred and everything this country doesn’t stand for.

That’s why you deserve to be ousted from your House Committees, if not from the U.S. House of Representatives altogether, because you fail to show even one shred, one iota, one ounce of contrition since you started spreading your hate speech across America.

Is there any question why right-wing extremists got angry, are still angry, and have been committing murders and heinous acts all across the United States? It’s folks like you that get them all riled up to the point where they don’t know right from wrong anymore. You cater to the lowest of low, to the people who are easily manipulated, whose arms can be twisted on a dime, who bow down to your every bigoted sound bite, who graze, like hungry sheep, on the prejudicial fodder you throw out to them.

You don’t deserve to sit on the U.S. House of Representatives. For that matter, you don’t deserve to represent anyone in the United States. Why? Because you’re a warmonger, you’re an anti-Semite, you’re an Islamophobe, and you’re a liar with no moral compass.

You need to go home and shutter yourself in until you know what it means to be a decent human being, what it means to be an American who understands the principles of right and wrong behavior and proper conduct, and what it means to be an ethical leader.
